Fair Questions, Straight Answers

Why drop-in visits only — no boarding?

Exotic animals do best in their own habitat, with their own lighting, temps, and routine. Moving a chinchilla or a gecko to a stranger's house adds stress and risk. Drop-ins keep everything exactly where your animal expects it to be.

How are sitters vetted?

Four gates: documented species experience, a written species-knowledge exam developed with exotic vet techs, a background check, and a live video interview. We're deliberately selective — and as our sitter network grows, we're working toward group insurance coverage for every booking.

What does a visit cost?

Sitters set their own rates; most visits fall in the $25–40 range depending on species and care complexity. Sitters keep 80% of every booking.

When and where are you launching?

One metro at a time, chosen partly by where the waitlist is strongest. Joining with your ZIP code is genuinely a vote for your city.

My species isn't on the list. Will it be?

Probably! We're starting with animals we can serve legally everywhere and vet sitters for rigorously. Ferrets, hedgehogs, and more are on the roadmap — pick "Other" and tell us what you keep.
